The Key To Improving Sales Meeting Closing Rates - Feelings
I can't remember where I came across this but I came across a very interesting concept when reading some articles online. The concept is that the most important factor to closing a sale is feelings. That is right, that people make purchases based on feelings and nothing more. Not features, not pricing not even benefits. When I heard this it was like a light went off in my head. This is so true. People only buy when they feel it is the right thing to do, they will never buy when they don't. I then started to think about my own purchase behavior and how their are certain feelings I have to feel to make a purchase. I realized just how powerful this statement was. In this article I look at where in the sales process and how in the sales process feelings can be impacted to increase sales meeting closing rates.

Cost Per Click vs Cost Per Impression
Recently I was reviewing some online advertising for some of my clients and I realized maybe I have been doing things inefficiently. In all of my campaigns I have been selecting the cost per click payment method but never really looked at the cost per impression method. In this article I review the advertising I have been doing on Google Adwords, Facebook Ads and Linkedin Ads to see if I have chosen the most efficient payment method or if going forward I should be selecting the cost per impression model. As an extra bonus at the end of the article I also include a free guide on the top 3 things that will improve your online advertising ROI and point #2 is something that no advertising agency will to you. Where RIM's Blackberry Mobile Fusion For Small Business Went Wrong
To be honest hearing all of the doom and gloom headlines surrounding RIM makes me kind of sick. One because I feel the media sounds like a broken record and two because no matter where you look every article bashes RIM and the Blackberry. I have never seen such one sided journalism in my life. It is like everyone is kicking the dog when it is down. I have never been a fan of RIM and even when I was in University back in 2002 I thought their business strategy and marketing strategy was flawed. I have also always thought that they have a terrible culture of arrogance that would eventually lead to its demise. I had multiple opportunities to apply for jobs at RIM but never did as I knew the company was not for me. I am probably one of the people that dislike RIM the most, back when everyone thought RIM was the best thing ever and the stock was going through the roof I still despised the company and felt they would not have long term success.

Small Business Owner Tips - Should You Be On Social Media?
This article from Imogen Reed, writing on behalf of money.co.uk, which is a site that compares household expense items like insurance, utilities etc, list consumers deals and provide personal finance tips and advice. I was initially not going to let Imogen post an article on my blog but once I saw the website he was writing for I changed my mind as it is website that is very helpful and similar to a business idea I had prior to starting Profitworks. The website is very well designed and is very easy to use. I am actually a little jealous of the site. It also have very good social media integration. For a small business it has also been decently successful on social media gaining 632 Facebook Likes, 1,852 Twitter followers and 43 +1 recommendations on Google+ at this time of writing. What better a person to review if being on social media is beneficial for small businesses then someone who is associated with a small business that has implemented social media.
