How To Increase Your Sales Closing Rate - A Look At Why People Don't Buy And What You Can Do About It
After reviewing for the work I am doing for one of my clients, The Defacto Group, I realized I probably have a great opportunity to increase my closing rate and that of my clients. For that particular client I have had a very poor closing rate for that last 7 months of only 9%, which is the worst of all my clients. I think I should be at a minimum at the industry benchmark of 40% if not higher. So I determined I was going to do some further research on how to increase sales closing rates. I have done research on this topic before (you can find those findings in the article Techniques To Increase Your Chances Of Closing A Sale) but I felt like I could still learn more. After giving it more thought I realized there was probably a lot I could learn from understanding why people don't buy and what I actions I can take to combat this. This is an article summarizing the information I found and ideas I came up with.

Effective Email Templates - Does Putting Images On The Left Or Right Side Improve Results
In my ongoing efforts to improve my email marketing skills for my clients and my own business I continue to test new ideas. About a month ago I tested an interesting idea. The idea was to see what kind of an impact the location of graphics has on results, specifically open rate, click through rate, reads per 100 emails sent and clicks per 100 emails sent. I really enjoy testing and improving my email tactics as I love analyzing data and email marketing is one of the easiest marketing methods to get data for. When you think about it, it is really amazing how much data you can get from email marketing. Enough about my love of email data. Here are the results from my test.

Sales Performance Evaluation
It is a good idea to on a regular basis to perform a sales performance evaluation. Reviewing how quickly you are growing sales and how quickly you should be growing sales is an important exercise to ensure your business is not conquered by your competition, especially large competing companies. If you are always growing faster then your competition then you never have to worry about being forced out of a market. On the other hand if you are growing slower than your competition this is a major cause for concern. If your competition grows faster than you they will be able to build economies of scale that will aid them in competing against you. Eventually these economies of scale could give them a large enough competitive advantage that they may be able to push you out of the market entirely. But how can you determine how fast you should be growing to ensure that his never happens? What is a realistic target to benchmark yourself against?
